Preliminary hearing for Driver scheduled Feb 16-17

The preliminary hearing for Troy Driver in Canal Township Justice Court that was postponed while he underwent a mental evaluation has been rescheduled. Driver was found competent to stand trial by an evaluation ordered by 10th Judicial District Court in Yerington.

The preliminary hearing is now scheduled for February 16 & 17 at 9 a.m.

Driver is charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, murder and a variety of related charges stemming from the kidnapping of Naomi Irion from the Walmart parking lot last March. Her body was found buried in a remote area of Churchill County.
