Renovations of the commercial building located at 95A and Cottonwood Dr. have been completed, and an open house is being held Monday, March 19 from 4-6 p.m..
The building, at 868-878 Cottonwood Lane, was damaged by a fire on Dec. 19, 2016. The fire started in the storage unit of the Fernley Thrift Store, and was determined to have been deliberately set. On Dec. 23, Troy Goins, 46, of Fernley was arrested and charged with charged with breaking and entering into the business and first degree arson.
Six units in the building were damaged, but have been refurbished and are ready for lease. They can be used as retail or industrial, and current zoning allows for a variety of uses. Each unit has 740 square feet of retail or office in the front, with 2,500 square foot of warehouse attached. All units have a 10-foot rollup door and two restrooms.
