The Quad County Emergency Operations Center reported the 12th death of a Lyon County resident with COVID-19 on Tuesday, along with six new cases of COVID-19 and six recoveries.
The person who died was a man in his 80s. Quad County EOC did not report whether the man had underlying health conditions.
There have been 560 total cases in Lyon County, 72 of them currently active, with 477 recoveries and 12 deaths.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Oct. 12, 221 total cases have been reported and 17 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. In the Quad County region, there were 26 new cases, 33 recoveries and one death reported Tuesday. There have now been 1,646 total cases, 1,444 recoveries and 21 deaths in the Quad-County region.
