One COVID-19 death reported in Lyon County Thursday

The Carson City Health and Human Services Quad County Emergency Operations Center reported the death of one Lyon County resident due to COVID-19 Thursday, as well as 22 new cases and 10 recoveries.

The death reported Thursday was a man in his 80s.

There have been 2,163 total cases in Lyon County, 990 of them currently active, with 1,129 recoveries and 44 deaths.

As of 6 p.m. Dec. 31, 909 total cases had been reported and 439 cases were active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

There have now been 9,219 total cases, 4,727 recoveries and 119 deaths in the Quad-County region.
