One COVID-19 death reported in Lyon County Monday

The Carson City Health and Human Services Quad County Emergency Operations Center reported the death of a Lyon County resident due to COVID-19 on Monday, as well 136 new cases and 19 recoveries since its Friday update.

The person who died was a man in his 70s.

There have been 1,592 total cases in Lyon County, 766 of them currently active, with 804 recoveries and 22 deaths.

As of 6 p.m. Dec. 7, 696 total cases had been reported and 364 cases were active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

There have now been 6,018 total cases, 3,080 recoveries and 58 deaths in the Quad-County region.
