Nine new cases of COVID-19 and nine recoveries been reported in Lyon County since the last update by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center last Friday.
Four of those cases were in the newest update by Quad-County EOC on Monday. Quad County EOC is no longer providing updates on weekends, although its database is updated daily.
The cases reported Monday are a man in his 50s with no connection to a previously reported case, a woman in her 70s with a connection to a previously reported case, a woman in her 20s with no connection to a previously reported case and a woman in her 50s with no connection to a previously reported case.
There have been 210 total cases in Lyon County, 42 of them currently active, with 163 recoveries and five deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 2, 96 total cases have been reported and 18 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.
In all, there have now been 718 total cases, 567 recoveries and 12 deaths in the Quad-County region.
