NHP identifies pedestrian killed by vehicle Dec. 28

The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the person who was hit by a vehicle and killed near Sage Dr. on U.S. 95A Dec. 28.

According to the NHP, Melissa Kay Ashlock, 43, of Fernley was killed when she was struck by a gray Ford Ranger that was traveling northbound on U.S. 95A south of Lyon County mile marker 13 at about 6:20p.m. on Dec. 28.
