New Kiwanis Club holding organizational meeting in Fernley July 31

Kiwanis International is going to start a new Kiwanis Club in Fernley. Kiwanis is a global organization of 600,000 volunteers dedicated to serving the children of the world in 68 countries. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, great things happen.
The sponsoring club, Kiwanis Club of Reno Sunrisers, has two members, Stuart Anderson and Al Stilley, who will work with the new club for one year. They will be holding an organization meeting at the Golf Club at Fernley on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited, at which time additional information will be available.
Kiwanis provides service and leadership opportunities for young people. Sponsored by the local adult Kiwanis Club, Key Cubs are formed in the high school, Builders Clubs are formed in the middle schools and K-Kids are formed in the grade schools. Local Kiwanis Clubs select service projects that are best for their own city.
We hope that there will be a nice turnout so that the new Fernley club can move forward. For more information call Stu Anderson at 775-303-4864.
