NDOW to launch new, more convenient way to purchase licenses

After several years of gathering feedback from hunters, anglers and boaters like you, we are proud to introduce Nevada Department of Wildlife’s License Simplification program – a simple, modern and convenient way to purchase hunting and fishing licenses and boat registrations. Based on your input, we simplified the number of licensing options and increased the value of each license by automatically including all Nevada state stamp privileges. Your Upland Game, State Duck, Trout, Colorado River, and Second Rod stamps are now included in a single license purchase.

Additionally, after recognizing the need for a refreshed, modern purchasing platform, we have developed a new, easy-to-navigate website and refined customer experience. This new platform will support mobile license purchasing and display electronic licenses, which can also be printed from home. By popular demand, licenses will also be valid for one year from the date of purchase and auto-renewal options for boat registrations and hunting and fishing licenses will be available.

Senate Bill 511, introduced during the 2017 Legislative Session, enacted the Nevada Department of Wildlife vision for a new license system reducing confusion, increasing value and better serving your needs, while maintaining a revenue-neutral budget for the state of Nevada.

  • With auto renewal of licenses where do I check to see if I’ve been renewed and can I print it out or do you send it to me thru mail?
