Mayor Roy Edgington and the City of Fernley have teamed up with Waste Management this year for this year’s 2021 Mayor’s Clean Sweep on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Volunteers will meet at the gazebo of the Out-of-Town Park at 8 a.m. to pick cleaning tasks.
This year’s cleanup will focus on the open space at the corner of Farm District and Rainbow, the In-Town Park, Fernley Cemetery, planting trees at the Out-of-Town Park, and more.
Lunch is provided for volunteers. Volunteers are asked to RSVP for the event to make sure there is enough food to go around. RSVP at cbirkel@cityoffernley.org or call (775) 784-9812.
All volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver to participate. If you plan to participate, you should bring gloves and water.
After the clean-up, lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m. at the Out-of-Town Park gazebo.
