Lyon County down to 9 active COVID-19 cases

After five recoveries Friday and one new case Saturday, Lyon County is now down to nine active COVID-19 cases, according to the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new case announced Saturday, a man in his 20s, was Lyon County’s 52nd total case, with 43 recoveries. According to the most recent information from Carson City Health and Human Services, 25 of Lyon County’s cases have been in Fernley.

As a whole, the Quad-County region has had 165 total cases – 85 in Carson City, 27 in Douglas County and one in Storey County. Of those 122 have recovered, four have died and five remain hospitalized.
