The Fernley Reporter
Local Army veteran and Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient, Tony Martinez, is organizing the inaugural golf tournament benefiting “Wreaths Across America” hosted at Arrowcreek Country Club on Sunday, May 21.
Proceeds raised will be used to purchase holiday wreaths that will honor the fallen heroes who are buried at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, during the 2017 holiday season.
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies, at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as more than 1,200 additional location in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
