Five new cases of COVID-19 and two recoveries were reported in Lyon County Tuesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.
The cases reported Tuesday are a woman in her 20s with a connection to a previously reported case, a woman in her 80s with a connection to a previously reported case, a woman in her 50s with no connection to a previously reported case, a man in his 20s with no connection to a previously reported case and a man in his 30s with no connection to a previously reported case.
There have been 215 total cases in Lyon County, 45 of them currently active, with 165 recoveries and five deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 3, 98 total cases have been reported and 19 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. In all, there were 15 new cases and seven recoveries in the Quad-County region. There have now been 733 total cases, 574 recoveries and 12 deaths in the Quad-County region.
