Fernley girls to face Spring Creek at region tournament

Fernley’s opening round opponent in the Girls Northern 3A Regional Tournament will be Spring Creek.

Spring Creek defeated South Tahoe 47-43 Tuesday night in the makeup game form last Friday’s postponement. With the win, Spring Creek earned the No. 5 seed for the regional tournament, while South Tahoe dropped to No. 6.

Fernley will play Spring Creek Thursday at 6;20 p.m. at the Winnemucca Events Center, while South Tahoe will face Elko at 3 p.m. The Fernley/Spring Creek winner will advnce to face Fallon at 6:20 p.m. Friday.
