Snow was starting to fly as Sales Manager Randy Maddy and Service Manager Pat Wright of Fernley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram took on the roles of Santa Claus.

Maddy and Wright, along with Lana Robards and Debbie Ridenour of the New Frontier Treatment Center delivered stacks of Christmas presents Thursday for the family of Melissa Condon and Valente Rosales.

“That’s a whole lot of presents,” exclaimed Condon.

Fernley CDJR adopted the family for Christmas, continuing a tradition started by Reno Dodge.

Fernley CDJR owners Don Weir and Moe Golshani, who opened the dealership earlier this year, said they wanted to continue the tradition in Fernley to show their commitment to the community.

“It is one of Don’s favorite things to do, to give back to the community that supports him and allows him to be in business,” said Fernley CDJR spokesperson Dreu Murin.

The managers at Fernley CDJR reached out to New Frontier Treatment Center to help them find a family in need, and they put the dealership in contact with Condon and her family.

The Fernley CDJR team took the wish lists provided by Condon and bought clothing and toys for each of the children, and then delivered the gifts to their home Thursday

Condon and Rosales have seven children, ranging in age from 3 to 16.

“It’s just awesome because now it’s going to be an awesome Christmas,” Condon said. “We have seven kids, so it was going to be scarce.”
