The eighth death of a Lyon County resident with COVID-19 was reported Monday by the Quad County Emergency Operations Center, along with six new cases.
There have been 457 total cases in Lyon County, 36 of them currently active, with 413 recoveries and eight deaths.
Quad County EOC did not provide any information about the person who died,

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Oct. 3, 190 total cases have been reported and 15 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 1,361 total cases, 1,250 recoveries and 17 deaths in the Quad-County region.
