County provides sand bags for Dayton residents

Lyon County has made sand bags available for Dayton residents concerned about possible flooding.

The Lyon County Road Department has opened a self-filling sandbag location at its yard at 200 Lakes Blvd. in Dayton.

Lyon County does not expect major flooding but urges residents near drainages or low-lying area’s to take necessary precautions to protect their property.

The self-fill site has sand and bags. Residents will need to bring shovels and fill their bags
