After about nine months of delays, detours and lane closures, the City of Fernley is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday at 10 a.m. to celebrate the completion of the Cottonwood Lane Reconstruction Project.
Construction on the project began in December, and along with the reconstruction of the roadway, it included sidewalk and utility improvements.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in front of the City of Fernley sign at the nterestion of Cottonwood Lane and Hardie Lane. The public is invited.
“This project was successfully completed because of everyone that came together to be involved to make this happen and we thank you for all your efforts,” the City of Fernley Engineering Department said in a social media post.
