Boil water notice not citywide

Courtesy City of Fernley

On January 15, a waterline break occurred in the vicinity of Pilot Road. Customers affected were notified to boil water as a safety measure in case of contamination.

The City of Fernley would like to inform residents that they only need to boil water if they have received a notice from the Fernley Public Works Department to do so. If residents have not received a physical copy of the notice, they do not need to boil their water. It is important to note that the original notice that was sent on January 15 does not affect the entire city.

If residents would like more information about the boil water notice, please call the City of Fernley Public Works Department at 775-784-9914 or 775-784-9929.
