David and Maryknoll Bowen will celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Bizarre 101 Art Gallery at Walker Lake next Saturday, February 12.

The Gallery features the creative works of local artists to include graphic design, metal art, ceramics, paintings, watercolor, textiles, florals, collections and jewelry. Bizarre 101 is located on the west side of Highway 95, between the Baptist Church and Big Horn Crossing.

Bizarre 101, as home and gallery, is full of art inside and out. The building is painted in an Indian geometric motif. David Bowen has adorned the building with his “Winged Bighorn” symbolizing local nature. Shelley Hartman’s mural features the legendary “Cecil the Serpent”.  Nigel Giddings created “Robot Bob” and Jan Henry’s Ford Model A is a vintage collector’s delight.
