Bike Safety at Cottonwood Elementary School Sept 14

Physical education teacher Wendy Edwards and Western Nevada Safe Routes to School coordinator Cortney Bloomer taught Cottonwood Elementary school 3rd and 4th graders how to safely ride their bikes to school and around town. Approximately 250 children participated in the classes.

The federally supported program works in partnership with the Nevada Department of Transportation and the Carson City Health Department. The program teaches children in Carson, Lyon, Storey and Douglas counties.
