Amodei to serve as keynote speaker for Memorial Day ceremony

Congressman Mark Amodei will be the keynote speaker as the Nevada Veterans Coalition hosts its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 31.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with the opening prayer by Nevada Veterans Coalition Chaplain Jan Hodges. It will include a welcome by NVC public information officer Darin Farr and a performance by the Sierra Highlanders.

Face masks are not required for those who are fully vaccinated. The event is open to the public and refreshments will be provided.

The annual ceremony honors all branches of the military.

The Sierra Highlanders will play three 15-minute sets of music after the ceremony
