Volunteers needed to help unload wreaths at Veterans Cemetery

The Nevada Veterans Coalition is looking for volunteers to help unload the boxes of wreaths being delivered this week for the Wreaths Across America event scheduled Saturday at the Veterans Cemetery.

Deliveries of the wreaths are scheduled at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Volunteers with trucks and trailers are needed to help move the wreaths to the staging area.

Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies are scheduled to escort the first truck down Main Street on the way to the cemetery, which will take place between 8:15-8:30 a.m. Residents are welcome to line Main Street to greet the escort.

Wreaths Across America is scheduled at 9 a.m. Saturday.
