Three new Lyon County COVID-19 cases reported Sunday

Three new cases of COVID-19 in Lyon County were reported Sunday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new cases are a man in his 20s, a man in his 40s and a man in his 60. One other case, in Carson City, was also reported by Quad-County EOC Sunday.

The new cases bring Lyon County’s total to 55 cases with 12 of them active, and 43 recovered.

The Carson City Health and Human Services database that tracks case locations by zip code was not updated Sunday. As of the last update on May 23, there had been 25 cases in Fernley.

In the Quad-County region, there have been 169 total cases, with 122 recoveries and four deaths. Five Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

  • There were more deaths than that because of car accidents, is fernley going to take away our driving privileges too.
