Three Fernley students named to All-State Band, nine to All-State Choir

Three members of the Fernley High School Band and nine members of the Choir received All-State recognition.

The FHS Band and Choir, led by Jason Smith traveled to Las Vegas to participate in the Nevada Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-State Convention 2018. The students auditioned and were selected as the very best in the state.

The members named to the All-State Band were:

  • Jacquelyn Wardell (10th) – Trombone

The students named to the All-State choir were

  • MyKayla Boyle (12th) – Soprano 1
  • Ashley Ward (12th) – Alto 1
  • Maile Manzanares (11th) – Alto 1
  • Lillian Nattress (9th) – Alto 1
  • Crystal Winslett (10th) – Alto 2
  • Seth Gibson (12th) – Tenor 1
  • Kylend Snider (10th) – Tenor 2
  • Shawn Narwold (10th) – Bass 2
  • Seth Bake (10th) – Bass 2
