The Quad-County EOC reported one new case of COVID-19 and two recoveries in Lyon County Saturday.
The new Lyon County case is a man in his 60s. He is the county’s 82nd confirmed case. There have been 50 recoveries in Lyon County, with one death. In the most recent update by Carson City Health and Human Services, 35 of Lyon County’s cases were in the 89408 zip code, as of 6 p.m. June 5.
In the Quad County region, there have now been 230 total cases, 159 recoveries and six deaths. Six Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Community-based COVID-19 testing for residents without symptoms will be available next Wednesday, June 10 from 4-6 p.m. at City Hall. No appointment is necessary, and 150 tests will be available.
The tests are part of the community-based testing being done by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center. Testing is also available June 9 from 8-11 a.m. at Carson High School.
