One new Lyon County COVID-19 case, one recovery reported Tuesday

One new case of COVID-19 in Lyon County and one new recovery were reported Tuesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new case is a male under the age of 18. One other case, in Douglas County, and two other recoveries were also reported by Quad-County EOC Sunday.

The new case is the 56th in Lyon County, and he recovery was the 44th.  According to the Carson City Health and Human Services database that tracks case locations by zip code, there had been 27 cases in the 89408 zip code as of the latest update May 24.

In the Quad-County region, there have been 176 total cases, with 128 recoveries and four deaths. Four Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
