One COVID-19 death reported in Lyon County Wednesday

The Carson City Health and Human Services Quad County Emergency Operations Center reported the death of a Lyon County resident due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, as well 35 new cases and 16 recoveries Wednesday, and 46 cases and 10 recoveries Thursday.

No information was provided about the new cases or the people who died.

There have been 1,424 total cases in Lyon County, 621 of them currently active, with 782 recoveries and 21 deaths.

As of 6 p.m. Dec. 3, 635 total cases had been reported and 317 cases were active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

There have now been 5,349 total cases, 2,291 recoveries and 54 deaths in the Quad-County region.
