Memorial Day ceremony to recognize Coast Guard

The 2018 Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the Nevada Veterans Coalition will give special recognition to the U.S. Coast Guard.

The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Monday, May 28 at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Rear Admiral Nathan A. Moore, Deputy Commander Pacific Area.

The annual ceremony honors all branches of the military. Last year’s event included a special recognition of the U.S. Merchant Marines, and this year will recognize the Coast Guard. Attendees will get the chance to interact with the Coast Guard Air Crew and view one of their Search and Rescue helicopter
