Eight new Lyon County COVID-19 cases, three recoveries reported Thursday

Eight new cases of COVID-19 and three recoveries were reported Thursday by the Quad County Emergency Operations Center.

There have been 403 total cases in Lyon County, 49 of them currently active, with 348 recoveries and six deaths.

The new cases are:

  • A woman in her 60’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
  • A man in his 20’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
  • A woman in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
  • A woman in her teens with no connection to a previously reported case.
  • A man in his 40’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
  • A woman in her 40’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
  • A man in his 40s with no connection to a previously reported case.
  • A man in his 50’s with a connection to a previously reported case.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Sept. 17, 167 total cases have been reported and 14 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 1,217 total cases, 1,072 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
