Sioux City, Iowa – Freshman 174-pounder wrestler Jackson Chapin, a Fernley High School graduate, represented Morningside University on the Great Plains Athletic Conference’s Wrestler of the Week honors for the period of Monday, Feb. 7, through Sunday, Feb. 13.
Chapin, winning for the fifth time in his last eight matches, knocked off the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ previously No. 17-ranked Kendall Biddle of Ottawa University of Kansas with a pin to help the Mustangs stop the No. 14-ranked Braves in their dual season finale on Feb. 8. He takes an 11-15 record into the 2022 GPAC Championships Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18 and 19.
