Is beekeeping on your bucket list? Need help getting started. A one-day workshop for beginning beekeepers will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Jeanne Dini Cultural Center, Yerington, Nevada.
The workshop is focused and designed for individuals with little or no beekeeping experience. Topics will include honey bee biology, hive equipment and supplies, getting bees, first year hive management, as well as an overview of a beekeeper’s year. The cost for the workshop is $45 per adult and a student rate is $30. Lunch, snacks and printed resource materials will be provided.
