Neal McIntyre and Roy Edgington will square off in November in the race for Mayor.

In the race for City Council ward 3, Incumbent Stan Lau was the top vote-getter with 248, and he will face Tim Bickerton in the general election. Bickerton finished second with 119 votes. Sara Thomas finished third with 104, Jim Porter got 68 votes and Joe Rausch received 38.

In the race for County Commission District 2, Scott Keller defeated Davy Stix 3,996 to 3,611 in the Republican Primary. Because there is no Democrat running for that office, Keller will be unopposed in November.

In the race for the Fernley Swimming Pool GID, Patricia Smith led the voting with 1,772 votes, Suzanne Prouty was second with 1.385 and Michael Music, Jr. got 1.230 votes.

In the race for County Clerk/Treasurer, Staci Lindberg advances to the General Election. Lindberg received 2,552 votes, with Lisa Glass receiving 2,455. Elaine St. John came in third with 2.386. Lindberg will face nonpartisan candidate Erin Lopez in the General Election.

In statewide offices, Robin Titus won the Republican Primary over Jim Wheeler and will be unopposed in the General Election. Churchill County Commissioner Greg Koenig defeated Lyon County Commissioner Vida Keller for the Assembly District 38 seat, and Lyon County Commissioner Ken Gray defeated Blayne Osborn in the race for Assembly District 39.

School Board candidates Darin Farr were unopposed and will be unopposed in the General Election, while the two other school board races were mistakenly printed on the ballots sent to voters, but were not supposed to be on the primary. They will be contested in November.

Likewise, the City Council race between Ray Lacy and Ryan Hanan will be decided in the General Election. That race was not on the Primary ballot.

None of the results are official until all of the mail in ballots that are postmarked by June 14 are counted and will still added to the totals.

Results of other races will be posted when they are received.

9:19 p.m. update

Lyon County Clerk Nikki Bryan said all Nevada polls are now closed but the Secretary of State’s Office has not yet given the counties the go-ahead to release results. Lyon County will only be releasing final vote counts, not partial results as they have done in the past.

Lyon County Primary Election results will be posted here as they are received from the Lyon County Clerk/Treasurer’s Office and the Nevada Secretary of State. As of 7 p.m., there were still lines to vote at several locations around the state. No results will be released until the last poll has closed.

    • The race for Sheriff was not on the primary ballot because there were only two candidates. The election in November is between Frank Hunewill and Brad Pope.
