An 18-year old man was arrested Aug. 21 on a variety of charges in the beating of a man Aug. 20 in a Fernley convenience store.
Kameryn Parks, 18, was arrested at approximately 12:30 p.m. Aug. 21 after an investigation into the incident at the Sierra Discount Market.
Deputies were first called to the store at 6:57 p.m. Aug. 20 for a report of a fight. They confirmed a battery had occurred inside the store, but the suspect had left the scene.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office posted surveillance photos of suspects and the description of a vehicle in the case on social media, and received several responses identifying the suspects.
The next day, they arrested Parks on charges of burglary, violation of parole and probation, both felonies, and resisting a public officer, a misdemeanor. He is being held in the Lyon County jail with no bail. LCSO said no additional suspects are wanted in relation to this incident.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said it would like to thank the public for their quick and accurate information that assisted in identifying Parks as the suspect in this case.
