WNC offering driver’s education classes in Fernley

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

Western Nevada College is offering three sessions of driver’s education classes this summer at Fernley High School.

The courses offer 30 hours of new driver education in a classroom setting, meeting requirements to obtain a Nevada driver’s license. The courses use lectures, interactive CD’s, videos and on occasion guest speakers: Auto Insurance, Accident Victims, DMV Examiner, Department of Public Safety, Law Enforcement, and the WNC Auto Instructor to give vehicle and engine component identification.

Class instruction will cover Nevada driving regulations, basic vehicle control, and challenging situations. The classes are open to students ages 15 and above.
