Nine new Lyon County COVID-19 cases, four recoveries reported Wednesday

Nine new cases of COVID-19 and four recoveries in Lyon County were reported Wednesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.
Wednesday’s new cases are:
- A woman in her 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
- A woman in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
- A man in his 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
- A man in his 20’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
- A man in his 50’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
- A woman in her 50’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
- A man in his 30’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
- A girl under the age of 18 with a connection to a previously reported case.
- A boy under the age of 18 with no connection to a previously reported case.
There have been 345 total cases in Lyon County, 44 of them currently active, with 295 recoveries and six deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Sept. 1, 147 total cases have been reported and 21 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 1,046 total cases, 939 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
