Gift of Grace celebrating 500th anniversary of Reformation

Gift of Grace Lutheran Church in Fernley is holding celebrations in honor of the500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation events started by Martin Luther.
On Oct. 13, the church will host a joint Lutheran–Roman Catholic service “From Conflict to Communion” starting at 6 p.m. at Gift of Grace Lutheran Church, 290 S. West Main St.
This joint service is a celebration of the Commemoration of the Reformation Report of the Lutheran-Roman Catholic Commission on Unity. This ecumenical service is open to everyone. The joint choirs of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and Gift of Grace Lutheran Church will lead music.
Please bring a can of food for the food bank as an offering.
The service will be followed by a joint desserts and snacks in the Lutheran Center next door.
On Oct. 21, Gift of Grace is sponsoring a commemorative dinner featuring traditional foods from Lutheran countries from 5-8 p.m. The event will be held in the Lutheran Center at 190 S. West St.
The cost is $25 per person and the admission price includes a wide offering of exquisite Scandinavian/German cuisine and a drink of your choice.
