Five Lyon County COVID-19 cases, 19 recoveries reported Wednesday

The Quad-County Emergency Operations Center reported five new cases of COVID-19 and 19 recoveries in Lyon County Wednesday.
The new cases are a man in his 20s, two men in their 50s, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 30s, all with no connection to a previously reported case.
There have been 281 total cases in Lyon County, 47 of them currently active, with 228 recoveries and six deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 19, 123 total cases have been reported and 23 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. In the Quad County region, there were 12 new cases and 39 recoveries overall Wednesday. There have now been 906 total cases, 791 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
