Volunteers needed to help prepare Veterans Cemetery for Memorial Day

The Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley is looking for volunteers to place the small flags on the veterans’ graves in preparation for Memorial Day.

No RSVP is required; simply show up if you’re able on Saturday, May 28 at 8:30 a.m. to help place the flags.

The Memorial Day service will begin promptly at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30. Everyone is invited to join your community to honor all veterans, past, present and future.

If you would like to donate cookies, cupcakes or other treats on Memorial Day, that would be greatly appreciated as well.
