Two Lyon County COVID-19 cases reported Wednesday

Two new cases of COVID-19 in Lyon County were reported Wednesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.

The new cases reported Wednesday are a man in his 50s with no connection to a previously reported case and a woman in her 20s with no connection to a previously reported case.

There have been 309 total cases in Lyon County, 34 of them currently active, with 269 recoveries and six deaths.

As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 26, 134 total cases have been reported and 12 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.

There have now been 967 total cases, 869 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
