Three new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and two Monday were reported in Lyon County by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.
One case was reported Saturday, an adult in her teens with no connection to a previously reported case. Two cases were reported Sunday, a man in his 40s with a connection to a previously reported case and a man in his 30s with no connection to a previously reported case.
The cases reported Monday were a man in his 30s with no connection to a previously reported case and a man in his 30s with a recent travel history.
No recoveries were reported over the weekend or on Monday.
There have been 131 total cases in Lyon County, with 94 recoveries and two deaths.
As of 6 p.m. July 6, 62 cases have been in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.
In all, there have now been 391 total cases, 260 recoveries and seven deaths in the Quad-County region. Eleven Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
There are two drive-thru COVID-19 testing events for Quad-County residents without symptoms this week. Testing is free of charge; first come, first served, no appointments or reservations.
