Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford announced Thursday that Sherwin-Williams has donated masks and gloves to help first responders and health care workers in Nevada in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ford announced that he has facilitated the donation of 5,000 N95 masks and 1,500 Nitrile gloves from the paint and coating manufacturing company to the State of Nevada to help first responders and health care workers in need during Nevada’s State of Emergency.

“During this COVID19 pandemic, we need all hands on deck to support our first responders and health care workers,” Ford said. “I am proud to have facilitated this donation, and I applaud the Sherwin-Williams team for lending a helping hand during Nevada’s time of need. And I’m especially grateful for my First Assistant, Kyle George, who is currently filling in as the Governor’s Interim General Counsel, for helping secure these supplies, which will help our first responders and health care workers tend to the needs of Nevadans faced with this illness.”

Jim Jaye, SVP Corporate Communications at Sherwin-Williams, said the company applauds the work of all first responders.

“We’re pleased we’re able to donate this essential personal protective equipment at this critical time, and we’re proud of our employees, who day in and day out, make it possible for Sherwin-Williams to continue to support our communities across the country,” Jaye said.
