Seven new cases of COVID-19 and one recovery in Lyon County was reported Friday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.
The new cases reported Friday are a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 60s, a woman in her 20s, a woman in her 30s, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 20s. Six of them have no connection to a previously reported case.
There have been 318 total cases in Lyon County, 41 of them currently active, with 271 recoveries and six deaths.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Aug. 28, 135 total cases have been reported and 13 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 990 total cases, 884 recoveries and 15 deaths in the Quad-County region.
