Reno area pumpkin farm celebrates official opening

Silver Valley Farm, A Reno pumpkin farm with several other attractions that opened last year, is celebrating its official opening fall season.

The farm, located about halfway between Spanish Springs and Pyramid Lake at 3995 Bacon Rind Road, will be open Thursday-Sunday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Oct. 27.

The farm has a 5-acre pumpkin patch with more than 45 varieties of pumpkins, a 5-acre corn maze, hayrides, a giant tire jungle, a mining flume for gold panning, an inflatable obstacle course, a giant slide, and bounce houses and a train on tracks.
