The Fernley Reporter

The Lyon County Road Department has closed the Ramsey-Weeks Cutoff between U.S. 50 and U.S. 95A in Silver Springs to clean mud and debris from a flash flood that occurred this afternoon. Lyon County officials have also requested Lyon County Dispatch to conduct a Code Red (reverse 9-1-1) notification to residents in east Mason Valley to advise of a strong possibility of flash flooding coming from the Wassuk Mountain Range later this afternoon.
