Quad-County EOC announces first hospitalization of COVID-19 case Monday

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lyon County since Saturday, but Monday the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center announced one new case in Carson City, and also the first hospitalization of a COVID-19 patient in the region.

The new case is a Carson City man in his 60’s, but Quad-County EOC didn’t specify whether that patient or a previously confirmed case is the hospitalized patient.

The new case announced Monday brings the total in the Quad-County region to 43, with 32 of them still active and 11 recoveries. Of those, there are 10 confirmed cases in Lyon County, including one recovery.
