The Quad County Emergency Operations Center reported the 11th death of a Lyon County resident with COVID-19 on Monday, along with six new cases of COVID-19 and four recoveries.
The person who died was a man in his 40s with underlying health conditions.
There have been 554 total cases in Lyon County, 72 of them currently active, with 471 recoveries and 11 deaths.
The new cases reported by Quad County EOC are:
• A man in his 20s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A man in his 20s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A man in his 60s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A woman in her 30s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A man in his 30s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A man in his 70s with no connection to a previously reported case.
As of its most recent update at 6 p.m. Oct. 19, 220 total cases have been reported and 20 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. There have now been 1,620 total cases, 1,411 recoveries and 20 deaths in the Quad-County region.
