Five new cases of COVID-19 and eight recoveries in Lyon County were reported Wednesday by the Quad-County Emergency Operations Center.
The cases are two women in their 20s, a man in his 20s and two woman in their 30s, none with any connection to a previously reported case.
There have been 188 total cases in Lyon County, 40 of them currently active, with 145 recoveries and three deaths.
As of the latest update, at 6 p.m. July 27, 81 total cases have been reported and 16 cases are active in the 89408 zip code, according to Carson City Health and Human Services and the Quad-County EOC. The breakdown of cases by zip code within the Quad-County region is available at https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-cases-by-zip-code/.
Overall Wednesday, there were 16 new cases and 27 recoveries in the Quad-County region. In all, there have now been 652 total cases, 504 recoveries and 10 deaths in the Quad-County region. Twelve Quad-County residents are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
