FHS to host 2A state championship football game

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

Because two Northern teams qualified, Fernley High School has been chosen to host the 2A State championship football game next Saturday.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at a Southern Nevada venue, but because two Northern teams reached the final, the NIAA opted to move the game to a neutral site in the North.

Lovelock defeated Needles 44-28 and Yerington beat Lincoln County 28-8 in the 2A state semifinals.
