Fernley girls basketball team honored at Nevada basketball game

Wednesday night during the Nevada vs. UNLV women’s basketball game, Fernley High School girls basketball was presented with the game ball. The Vaqueros have won the Northern 3A regular season league title with an 18-0 league record, 22-2 overall, and is seeking a 3A Nevada state title.

The team has secured a bye in the first round of the 3A North Region tournament and will face their next opponent on Friday, Feb. 21 at Churchill County High School in the 3A North Region semifinal with the opponent and time still to be determined.
